Galerie Art opened in Paris in 1966 and now works from four cities. We represent sculptors at every stage of their careers and stay with them from the first studio visit to the museum loan.

History
Isabel Nieto opened the first space in a former frame-maker’s workshop, showing carved and cast work at a time when most galleries in the city hung paintings. The gallery has kept that focus ever since: objects made by hand, shown with room around them.
Programme
Today the programme covers stone, bronze, ceramic, wood and installation. From spaces in Paris, Madrid, Lisbon and Toronto, Galerie Art organises exhibitions, takes part in fairs, publishes books and runs talks and studio visits for anyone curious about how sculpture is made.
Making Revisitations
Six weeks in Thandi Mokoena’s studio before the opening: roughing out the timber, burning and hollowing the columns, and the day they left for the gallery. Filmed by our in-house team. 4 minutes.
Six decades
Founded in Paris
Isabel Nieto opens a two-room space for sculpture on rue du Chêne-Bleu.
Madrid
A second space opens in a restored brick building on Calle del Tilo Viejo.
Lisbon
Rua da Escola becomes the base for the European programme and museum loans.
Toronto
A townhouse gallery on Sterling Road opens with a survey of works in bronze.
